We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Haywards Heath. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, aged 4-11.
About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide support to students in the classroom. This will include assisting with lesson planning, delivering small group work, and providing one-to-one support to students who require additional help.
You will also be responsible for maintaining records of student progress, attending to students' personal needs, and engaging with teachers, caregivers, and parents to monitor student development.
Requirements- Experience working with children
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Grade C or above (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English
- An enhanced child DBS
- Behaviour management skills and classroom management skills
- Patience to support pupils to understand the teacher's lessons and engage children with activities planned by the teacher
- Eligibility to work in the UK
