IT Security Infrastructure Specialist

Position Summary: The IT Infrastructure Security Engineer is responsible for executing the deployment of IT Security Controls and supporting the establishment of essential measures regarding processes and technology. This role necessitates close collaboration with IT Infrastructure teams and IT Security & Compliance. The engineer will play a crucial role in implementing the corporate-wide information security management program, focusing on secure design and execution of systems to ensure the protection of Infrastructure assets. This position also involves contributing to the reporting of measurable security KPIs and managing vulnerabilities related to IT Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support projects relevant to infrastructure security by ensuring the application of necessary security controls from the design phase through the system lifecycle. Enforce secure configurations for both new and existing assets, and design and implement mitigating controls as needed.
- Define and implement effective measures for vulnerability remediation at both procedural and technological levels (e.g., system hardening, patch management, lifecycle management).
- Promote a security-conscious culture within the IT Infrastructure team.
- Assist in IT Security-related Infrastructure services and identify areas for potential enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory security and data protection requirements at the infrastructure level, including GxP and GDPR.
Key Requirements:
- A Master's degree in computer science, information security, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 4 years in Information Technology, with at least 1 year in Information Security. A proven track record of involvement in security projects and serving as the security subject matter expert for IT initiatives. Experience in Operational Technology is preferred.
- Professional security management certification, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), along with relevant vendor and industry certifications, is preferred.
- Understanding of pertinent legal and regulatory frameworks, including Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Payment Card Industry/Data Security Standard.
- Familiarity with common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT, and NIST standards.
