Key Responsibilities: We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to generate monthly core financial documents, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and associated board report sections, adhering to accounting principles. You will oversee the financial internal control framework and prepare budgets and forecasts for primary financial statements and fixed costs.
  • Reconcile the trial balance and post necessary journal entries to ensure month-end reports comply with accounting standards.
  • Generate primary financial statements using the established template for submission to the Group within the designated timeframe.
  • Prepare month-end commentary for the balance sheet, cash flow, and fixed costs for inclusion in relevant reports.
  • Create forecasts for the balance sheet, cash flow, and fixed costs for site submissions.
  • Monitor the established internal financial control framework to ensure compliance with current standards.
  • Conduct fixed cost overhead analysis and provide supporting commentary to highlight key trends and suggest corrective measures.
  • Track capital expenditures against budget and forecasts to ensure spending remains within approved limits and escalate exceptions as necessary.
  • Maintain the Fixed Assets register, ensuring all items are accurately identified, allocated to relevant projects, and reconciled with the trial balance.
  • Lead and develop the Assistant Accountant to ensure adherence to business processes.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified or finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in finance system management and internal controls.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Basic understanding of corporation tax and VAT.
  • Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders.
