About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at The Calico Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the production of management information to stakeholders, ensuring they have timely financial information to inform their decisions.
  • Develop and improve existing management information to enhance the understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and the financial impact of decisions.
  • Develop effective business partnering across diverse stakeholders, including operational teams.
  • Set and monitor budgets, ensuring financial controls are in place and adequate.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, balance sheet, and reconciliations.
  • Support the delivery of annual statutory accounts.
  • Embed a culture of value for money (VFM) within the organization.
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and challenges in the social housing sector.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet conflicting deadlines and delegate effectively.
  • Substantial accountancy experience within a similar environment, including the production of management accounts.
  • Experience of working with operational teams to develop financial information.
  • Experience of budget setting and developing detailed financial forecasts.
  • Team management and motivation to deliver high levels of staff engagement.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels.
