About the Role

CapeClarke is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Lawyer to join our team as a Partner/Legal Director. As a leading provider of extensive legal services, we are looking for an individual who can drive the growth of our commercial practice across key disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strengthen our commercial offering at Partner level, with opportunities for fast-track progression to partnership
  • Lead and manage a team of commercial lawyers across various sectors, including technology, media, and IT/digital
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand our commercial practice, focusing on key disciplines such as commercial contracts, IT, IP, digital commerce, and data privacy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including heavyweight domestic and international household names
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive business growth and development
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a commercial lawyer, with a strong track record of success
  • Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Strong business development skills, with a focus on driving growth and revenue
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
