About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Learning Disability Nurse to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Wyke. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to individuals with mental illness and autism spectrum disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to develop and implement service improvements, ensuring high standards of care and quality.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with healthcare procedures and guidelines.
  • Provide education and support to individuals, families, and other healthcare professionals to promote understanding and empowerment.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Learning Disability Nurse.
  • Proven experience in a mental health and autism setting, with a strong understanding of the latest nursing practices and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive records, undertake audits, and demonstrate integrity in your role.
