Key Responsibilities- Underwriting and Processing: Process and underwrite new loans in line with credit policy, responsible lending policy, and underwriting manual.
- Credit Assessment: Assess borrower creditworthiness and underwrite new mortgage applications from initial receipt through to completion.
- Business Improvement: Participate and contribute to ongoing business improvement activity.
- Customer Service: Deliver a first-class proactive customer service through inbound and outbound communication to all case stakeholders.
- Product Knowledge: Build a thorough understanding of the products offered by the Firm, its lending strategy, credit risk policies, and processes.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure a high level of accuracy of data entry and ongoing record keeping.
- Team Support: Support the processing team and underwriting peer group in delivering an excellent, compliant service with prompt and accurate decision at each stage of the process.
- Underwriting Experience: Current or recent Underwriting Mandate within specialist Buy to Let.
- Mortgage Knowledge: Good understanding of the mortgage process.
- Pressure Management: Knowledge of working under pressure to tight deadlines - a 'can do' attitude.
- Record Management: Record/file management experience.
- Task Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
- Adaptability: Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate ever-changing business needs.
- Hybrid Working: A hybrid working pattern with a mixture of 2 office-based days and 3 days a week home working.
