Workshop Team Leader

Cox Automotive is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our mechanical workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Workshop Management: Plan and manage the daily work schedules for our mechanical technicians, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of skilled technicians and apprentices, providing coaching and guidance to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular audits to ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Customer Service: Work closely with our customers to understand their needs and ensure that we deliver a high-quality service that meets their expectations.
- Parts Management: Manage the ordering and inventory of parts, ensuring that we have the necessary materials to complete all tasks.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed, and that the workshop is a safe and healthy environment for all employees.
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in mechanical engineering and workshop management.
- Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a team of technicians and apprentices.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures, with the ability to ensure that all employees follow safe working practices.
- Qualifications: IMI Level 3 qualification or Time Serve Qualification is desirable.
