Job Description

Job Title: Senior Bridge Engineer

Job Summary:

Waterman Aspen is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridge Engineer to join our West Midlands team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality bridge maintenance projects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver bridge maintenance projects for our clients in the West Midlands region
  • Work with our team to develop and implement effective bridge maintenance strategies
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess bridge condition and identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare and submit reports and recommendations to clients

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bridge maintenance and inspection
  • Working knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and assessment codes
  • Skilled in the preparation of contract specifications and the use of MCHW
  • UK experience in delivering bridge maintenance projects, preferably within a Local Authority environment
  • Awareness of responsibilities under the CDM Regulations
  • Professionally qualified (ICE, IStructE) or equivalent
  • Experience in the use of various software such as AutoCAD and Bridge Management/Structural Analysis Systems
  • A full UK driving licence for site visits
