About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Construction Skills Instructor to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of learners within our custodial environment.

As a Construction Skills Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and effective training programs to individuals from diverse backgrounds. You will guide them through the fundamentals of construction, fostering their skills and preparing them for successful careers in this dynamic industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive construction training programs tailored to the needs of learners.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages participation and growth.
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their understanding and skill development.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in construction training.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of training programs.
Requirements:

To excel in this role, you will possess:

  • Proven experience working within the construction sector.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Recent experience and knowledge of current construction practices.
  • Experience in a custodial environment is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with teaching adults, including planning, delivery, assessment, and evaluation of learning.
  • Understanding of diverse learning strategies and teaching methods.
  • Effective communication, numeracy, and interpersonal skills to interact with learners and colleagues.
