The successful candidate will work closely with the head of the department, contributing to the strategic direction and business development initiatives of the team. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career with a varied and interesting workload, flexibility, and freedom in a supportive and friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload of complex matters, including:
  1. Drafting and negotiating a wide range of business-to-business contracts.
  2. Drafting standard agreements, including terms of sale and contracts of distribution and agency.
  3. Drafting standard terms for sales to consumers.
  4. Advising on data protection compliance, including desktop audits and time-sensitive matters.
  5. Providing transactional support to the corporate team.
Ensure personal legal knowledge is up to date and communicate new advancements to the wider team.Be involved in the marketing and business development of both the department and the firm.Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years PQE in a commercial law role.
  • Excellent academic background.
  • Exceptional client care skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Highly motivated and able to add value to the role.
  • Proactive management of matters with a minimum of supervision.
  • A team player with networking and client development skills.

Disclosure will be required in the event that a position is offered.

The successful candidate will be required to attend an induction and a period of training at the firm's Derby office.
