We are seeking an experienced Area Engineering Manager to join our client's highly competent workforce of nuclear specialists who uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake the role of Principal Designer in accordance with all CDM Regulations.
- Develop and implement project execution strategies that are commensurate with a portfolio of asset care type work.
- Provide evidence to underpin a SQEP assessment against SL R2A2 ED-19.
- Lead a team of engineers in the delivery of control system refurbishment and replacement projects.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
- Proficient and demonstrable understanding of Project System Engineering Delivery.
- Control systems knowledge of an automation of a system.
- Requirements derivation & validation through stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrate strong leadership behaviours to drive timely delivery of an engineering schedule to quality and cost.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in the successful management of the interface between the client team and the integrated delivery team.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering early phase scoping activities (requirements management, optioneering etc.) and project initiation (execution planning, scope definition, schedule build, estimating, risk management) for multi-discipline asset care projects.
- 10+ years within an Engineering discipline.
- Highly experienced with Project delivery.
- Decision maker.
- From a highly regulated industry – nuclear preferably.
