About The Role

In the Industry Operations Department, this role is designed to assist the Technical Industry Team Leader and the Head of Industry Data in achieving departmental goals by providing a thorough suite of Management Information (MI) reporting and analytics, along with valuable insights into industry performance.

Your primary responsibility will be to detect fluctuations or patterns in workload and performance metrics, conducting in-depth investigations to offer expert recommendations for enhancing or alleviating potential future challenges.

Reports generated will be disseminated across various business sectors to ensure cohesive collaboration and support for process documentation and enhancements as necessary.

This position will also entail collaboration with third-party partners to boost industry performance and manage exceptions effectively.

Your daily responsibilities will include supporting project initiatives and the rollout of new capabilities.

The department operates in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment, focusing on the integrity of data maintained both internally and with industry bodies.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify trends within reporting and swiftly investigate any fluctuations in volume or performance.
  • Support operational processes across the organization from an analytical and process development viewpoint.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team to achieve shared objectives aligned with managed services, utilizing ESG data to prioritize impactful work and agree on joint deliverables.
  • Develop balanced scorecards and fit-to-bill reports, incorporating processes that ensure customers are billed according to target dates and produce standard bills.
  • Engage with industry groups, supplier forums, and change panels to ensure that changes are managed effectively, issues are identified for improvement, and compliance with upcoming modifications is maintained.
  • Conduct impact assessments to manage changes, quality, industry governance, and compliance.
  • Provide support for industry and systems changes, including implementation and testing.
  • Assist with broader initiatives, Industry Operations, and the wider business, including project, analytical, and subject matter expert support.
  • Work with other third parties on performance enhancements, outputs from analysis, and collaborate with ESG to agree on actions and development opportunities.
  • Manage general change requests through a change log and coordinate project requests to prioritize the implementation of bug fixes and error corrections.
  • Respond to industry outages or issues, ensuring all relevant parties are informed and mitigation strategies are implemented.
  • Support performance improvements for AFMS internally, working collaboratively with ESG.
  • Participate in the change release roadmap with technology teams, acting as the end-to-end process owner, ensuring that industry data impacts are identified and considered prior to release.
  • Manage underperformance of third parties through effective reporting in conjunction with the Technical Industry Team Leader and the Third Party Contract Manager.
  • Provide training and process improvement support for Industry Operational staff, facilitating their development through data and insights shared with the Industry Operations Team Leader.
