Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Inpatient services, you will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team and providing high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Lead an MDT and contribute to the Consultant On Call rota
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines
  • Participate in educational and research activities
About the Role

This is a full-time (10 PAs) position based at Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal. The successful candidate will have access to a range of benefits, including a relocation package, study leave budget, and opportunities for professional development.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold full GMC registration and be included on the Specialist register of the GMC or be eligible for entry within 6 months
  • Have Section 12 Approved status and be eligible for Approved Clinician Status
  • Have relevant knowledge, skills, and experience in psychiatry
