Retail Team Leader

Salary: £13.72 per hour inclusive of holiday pay (£12.25 per hour + £1.47 holiday pay)

Location: LEEDS

Are you seeking a position where you can engage in significant projects for some of the UK's prominent grocery and DIY retailers? We have openings for Team Leaders where you will be involved in New Store Launches, Renovations, Product Range Evaluations, and Store Support Initiatives. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, making swift decisions while guiding teams to maintain high merchandising standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Your typical workweek will include 4-5 shifts from Sunday to Thursday.
  • You will oversee and assist a team of merchandisers and replenishment staff executing tasks as directed by the client.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding project progress and completion.
  • Conduct health and safety training and inspections.
  • Shifts generally last 12 hours, covering both day and night (primarily night shifts). You will manage your availability and accept shifts through our Field Power platform on your smartphone.
  • Clocking in and out will be done via your smartphone.
  • Work will take place at various retail client locations, with travel requirements varying by shift.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Stock removal and replacement according to client specifications.
    • Adjusting shelf heights as necessary.
    • Transporting stock from the warehouse to the sales floor using roll cages and pallet trucks.
    • Replenishing stock as needed.
    • Travel may be required when local assignments are unavailable, with accommodation provided when necessary.

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and make decisions effectively.
  • Previous experience in merchandising, retail supervision, or team management.
  • Detail-oriented with a methodical approach.
  • Physical capability for manual handling and lifting.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work unsociable hours, including early mornings and nights, is essential. Applicants must be 18 years or older due to the nature of the work.
