GCSE & A-Level Media Studies Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Media Studies teacher to join our team at an outstanding mixed school in Enfield, Greater London.

About the Role

As a Media Studies teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons that captivate students' interests and introduce them to various media forms, theories, and production techniques.

You will also be expected to encourage students to think critically about media representations and influences, guide them in hands-on media projects, and inspire a love for media and its impact on society while promoting ethical media practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement media studies curricula that align with school standards
  • Design and deliver engaging media studies lessons that promote critical thinking and creativity
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate media studies across the curriculum
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Stay up-to-date with media trends and technologies, incorporating them into your teaching practices
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Media Studies or a related field
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in teaching media studies or a related subject
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
