Zitron Australia Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of industrial fan units, supplying to the mining and road tunnel sector. We are seeking a talented Engineering Draftsperson to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed 3D models, drawings, and BOMs for fabricated products.
- Initiate manufacturing BOM creation in our ERP system.
- Prepare project drawings, including layouts and interface drawings with other disciplines.
- Integrate 2D and 3D models from different equipment suppliers into overall tunnel ventilation systems.
- Support the sales team with preliminary drawings for tenders.
- Review drawings and material lists, identifying potential gaps with locally available materials or local standard compliance.
- Collaborate with overseas teams to modify drawings and BOMs to close these gaps.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all drawings and revisions.
- Approximately 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of mechanical and structural engineering principles and Australian and international standards.
- Familiarity with CAD software, including Autocad and Inventor.
- Experience with BIM interfacing systems in infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
- Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or equivalent.
- Experience in steel fabrication/manufacturing industry, including knowledge of material standards and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding fabrication design principles.
- Permit to work in Australia.
