Position Overview:

The Tissue Governance Team is seeking a driven and enthusiastic professional to join our ranks.

We invite applications for the role of Tissue Governance Officer, where you will assist the Tissue Governance Manager in establishing a comprehensive quality framework for tissue governance within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and maintenance of a robust quality system for tissue governance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and legal standards related to human tissue research.
  • Oversee the governance of human tissues for research purposes, adhering to Good Clinical Practice and HTA Codes of Practice.
  • Manage and maintain an accredited Bioresource of human tissue.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess experience in a biomedical research setting, such as a clinical or research laboratory. A thorough understanding of the regulatory, ethical, and legal frameworks governing human tissue research is highly desirable. Familiarity with Health and Safety protocols, Quality Management Systems, and accreditation processes is also preferred.
