Job Description

Job Title: Senior Radio Network Engineer

Location: Flexible, hybrid working environment with occasional travel to Arqiva offices.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radio Network Engineer to join our team at Arqiva. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and planning radio networks to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse engineering problems related to RAN equipment and systems or the causes of component failures and develop solutions to provide full resolution.
  • Provide technical support to ensure that customer radio networks continue to meet agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Identify risks within the design and build through the design review process and take action to ensure appropriate mitigation/management.
  • Develop and apply engineering standards and procedures and provide technical guidance to external and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent in Engineering, or relevant experience relating to radio network design and operations.
  • Track record of setting the standards for the design, development and testing of bespoke and COTS (Common off the Shelf) software/hardware for Telecommunication Networks, IP Networks, Smart Metering and IoT.
  • Experience in setting the standards for processes and engineering practices related to area of expertise for platforms that support services.
  • Experience in working in radio network design and optimisation including link budgets, radio propagation and protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of technologies involved in Radio Networks, M2M Communications, Large data collection, processing and management.
