Kinder Nannies & Staff Ltd. is seeking a committed and skilled Rota Childcare Specialist to deliver exceptional care for a delightful family in Central London with four children. The successful candidate will oversee daily routines for the younger boys (ages 7 and 9), support their educational pursuits, and assist in organizing extracurricular engagements. Occasionally, responsibilities will extend to the older children and the family unit as a whole. This role calls for a nurturing, organized, and proactive individual who can work collaboratively with the principal's PA and the father's rota nanny, ensuring seamless communication and effective handovers.
Core Responsibilities:
Childcare & Supervision
- Provide attentive and affectionate care to the children at all times.
- Ensure the safety, health, and overall well-being of the children.
- Safely transport children to and from educational institutions, activities, and appointments.
- Plan and prepare nutritious snacks for both school and home.
Educational Support
- Assist with homework and school projects to foster academic achievement.
- Organize and facilitate educational activities that enhance learning and development.
- Manage all school-related necessities, including uniforms and supplies.
- Ensure children are prepared and punctual for school each day.
Activity Coordination & Additional Duties
- Organize playdates and extracurricular activities to promote social skills and development.
- Plan and coordinate age-appropriate recreational outings.
- Select and purchase gifts for birthdays and special occasions.
- Organize and prepare for children's parties and events.
- Perform light housekeeping related to the children's areas.
- Be pet-friendly and assist with the care of family pets as required.
- Accompany children and family during travel.
Rota Management
- Create a weekly schedule of all school and extracurricular activities, ensuring parents are reminded of attendance requirements.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with the father's rota nanny, conducting weekly handovers for ongoing tasks and shared items.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a nanny, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- UK/EU passport - right to work in the UK.
- Pet-friendly disposition.
- Ability to commit to a Monday-to-Monday, 24-hour on-call schedule.
