Opportunity for a Critical Care Specialist

HCA Healthcare UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Specialist to join our team. As a Resident Doctor in our Critical Care department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operations of our Critical Care Ward and ITU units, providing medical care to inpatients from admission to discharge.
  • Independently act on medical care of inpatients, including clerking new planned and unplanned admissions, daily patient ward rounds, and responding to medical emergencies.
  • Deliver medical procedures as required, including vascular access, airway management, and pain management.
  • Participate in audits and training to continuously improve patient care and staff development.

Requirements:

  • MBBS medical qualification
  • Fully registered with the GMC and current licence to practice
  • Post-graduate qualification FRCA/FICM/MRCEM/MRCP or equivalent
  • NHS Trained Intensive care medicine or Anaesthesia to ST4 and above, or equivalent
  • Able to manage complex airways competently unsupervised and train and support others
  • Able to demonstrate teaching and mentoring of junior doctors
