Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Asset Officer to join our team at Devon County Council. As a key member of our Asset Delivery Team, you will play a crucial role in the management and maintenance of Devon's highway assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement early contract involvement and design of planned work programmes for highway maintenance projects.
  • Collaborate with Local Neighbourhood Teams to understand local community needs and priorities.
  • Audit highway maintenance and other contracts to ensure compliance with DCC contract conditions and specifications.
  • Review, manage, and approve payments for highway maintenance schemes.
  • Apply a working knowledge of appropriate highway policies and procedures, and maintain awareness of technical developments and good working practice.
