About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team at Howden, Corporate & Commercial. As an Account Executive, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, providing them with expert advice and guidance on their commercial insurance needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities to grow their business and increase revenue.
  • Target new clients and prospects, using effective marketing strategies to attract new business.
  • Establish and manage renewal strategies with clients, working closely with our Account and Claims Handlers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on their insurance needs, ensuring they are correctly and adequately insured.
  • Support the Division in achieving sales targets, working closely with our sales team to identify opportunities and drive growth.
  • Actively cross-sell products from other Divisions, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and grow our business.
  • Maintain professional competence by complying with our Training and Competence procedures, ensuring you have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
  • Seek feedback from clients and respond to feedback received, ensuring we continually improve our service delivery.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in providing specialist advice in the insurance market.
  • Qualified to a minimum of Dip CII.
  • Excellent technical insurance skills, with the ability to assess and advise on complex insurance needs.
  • Excellent client service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and deliver exceptional service.
  • Excellent negotiation and broking skills, with the ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Ability to gather and analyse information from clients, identifying opportunities to grow their business and increase revenue.
  • Good understanding of Corporate Governance, financial awareness, and how a business works.
