About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team at DCSL GuideSmiths. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing full support to the business and teams, in relation to all HR matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the employee life cycle, streamlining processes from recruitment to off-boarding, and analyzing data to enhance the employee experience and bolster retention.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees, managing the HR inbox and addressing queries with empathy and efficiency.
  • Proactively identify and resolve employee relation issues, fostering a positive company culture.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date employee records, utilizing and optimizing the HRIS system effectively.
  • Manage recruitment, assisting in sourcing appropriate candidate pools and overseeing the selection process, driving diversity initiatives and ensuring inclusion is at the forefront of recruitment strategy and hiring practices.
  • Guide management in the handling of performance issues, disciplinary procedures, and grievances, in line with company best practices and employment law.
  • Ensure strict compliance with employment laws and regulations, updating policies and procedures in accordance with business operations and UK regulations.
  • Support, input, and collaborate on ongoing projects under the guidance of management, driving to refine, revise, and create efficiencies in all aspects of the HR function.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with finance to ensure accurate payroll reporting and assist in preventing and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage appraisal and review processes, assisting and guiding managers in feedback, progression, and development areas.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of HR experience in a similar or entry-level position.
  • Working towards CIPD Level 5, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in HR software systems and MS Office skills.
  • Previous experience managing HRIS systems is desirable.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Calm and considered, organized, and able to prioritize tasks accordingly.

  • A competitive salary of up to £36,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
