About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Worker to join our Thurrock Rough Sleepers Outreach team at Sanctuary Supported Living. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our outreach staff and external agencies to support vulnerable customers experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of customers and develop support plans to promote independence and well-being
  • Provide day-to-day support with tasks such as cooking and cleaning, and offer advice on tenancy conditions and benefit management
  • Encourage social inclusion and build confidence, resilience, and self-esteem through education, training, and employment opportunities
  • Work with statutory and non-statutory agencies to promote choice and involvement, and act as an advocate when required
  • Promote safe working practices and undertake risk assessments within legislative frameworks
Requirements
  • Experience of working with adults who have experienced homelessness
  • Strong organisational skills, functional literacy, and numeracy
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative, with a strong 'can-do' attitude
  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards
