Quality Engineer Position

Company: A leading manufacturer of precision aerospace components is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their quality and engineering team. The role offers a competitive salary of between £40,000 and £45,000 per annum, with opportunities for additional training and career progression.

Quality Tools and Methodologies

The Quality Engineer must have hands-on experience and expertise in using, managing, and promoting the following quality tools and methodologies:

  1. 8D RCCA - A structured approach to problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  2. APQP & PPAP - A set of standards for automotive quality planning and production part approval.
  3. MSA - A methodology for measuring and analyzing data to improve quality.
  4. pFMEA - A risk assessment tool for identifying and mitigating potential failures.
  5. SPC - A statistical process control method for monitoring and controlling processes.
Quality Engineering Skills and Responsibilities

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for:

  1. Interpreting Engineering Definitions and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  2. Creating and Maintaining Internal Standards, SOPs, Methods, and Procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in quality processes.
  3. Coordinating and Delivering RCCA after supplier, internal, and external conformance issues to ensure prompt resolution and prevention of future occurrences.
  4. Coordinating and Delivering Process Improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
  5. Coordinating and Delivering Non-Conformance Reduction efforts to minimize defects and improve overall quality.
