Role Overview

As a Quantitative Research Specialist at Gazprom Energy, you will work closely with our Digital Trading team to improve algorithmic trading methodologies utilizing Python. Your key responsibilities will encompass analyzing market data, refining analytical models, and optimizing trading methodologies within the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform research and analysis to pinpoint trading opportunities in energy markets
  • Develop and execute innovative trading methodologies to enhance automated trading frameworks
  • Monitor and assess trading strategy effectiveness, implementing necessary modifications
  • Leverage comprehensive knowledge of market structures to guide trading methodologies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify IT solutions and process enhancements

Desired Qualifications

  • Profound understanding of financial markets, especially within the energy sector
  • Proven experience in data analysis and modeling with extensive datasets
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency in Python, statistics, and probability theory
  • Familiarity with C# or other programming languages is advantageous
  • Degree in STEM or equivalent professional experience
