Solar Electrical Installation Manager

We are seeking an experienced Solar Electrical Installation Manager to oversee the installation and commissioning of solar projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing all on-site activities related to the electrical components of solar installations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.


Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage all electrical aspects of solar project installations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety codes.
  • Lead daily meetings with site staff to discuss progress and address any challenges, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and subcontractors to ensure efficient site operations, leveraging expertise to drive project success.
  • Manage and document all electrical work, ensuring accurate records and adherence to project specifications.
  • Monitor electrical testing, system commissioning, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation, applying problem-solving skills to resolve complex problems.
  • Report to the project manager regarding site progress, electrical work timelines, and potential risks, providing timely and accurate updates.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Solar Electrical Installation Manager in solar or large-scale electrical projects, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including DC/AC power systems, inverters, and solar technologies, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of electricians and subcontractors, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure electrical tasks are performed efficiently, with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Experience in project management, safety protocols, and adherence to electrical standards, with a strong understanding of local regulations and codes.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers, with a focus on clear and concise communication.

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in electrical systems and safety protocols.
  • Previous experience as a Solar Electrical Installation Manager in renewable energy, particularly in solar projects, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Electrical certification and familiarity with national and local electrical codes, with a strong understanding of safety standards and protocols.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability.
