Job Title: Consultant Anaesthetist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Department of Anaesthesia, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to patients undergoing general, major, and high-risk surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver anaesthesia services for general, major, and high-risk surgery, including trauma and cepod surgery
  • Supervise junior colleagues and provide clinical guidance and support
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of anaesthesia services, including pre-assessment and perioperative medicine
  • Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of patient care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
  • FRCA or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in delivering anaesthesia services in a busy teaching hospital
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to demonstrate leadership capability within multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to contribute to research and publications in the field of anaesthesia
