Job Description:
We are proud to be working with this Ofsted-approved residential childcare provider who currently has an exciting opportunity for a number of Residential Childrens Workers and Team Leaders to join their team.
About the Role:
- Take responsibility for the basic care of children, assisting and ensuring good personal care, health care, education, and recreational activities.
- Proactively support the young person's care plan.
- Transport/support young people to and from school, health appointments, etc.
- Ensure a regular log and record of events is maintained, including night observation/medication checklist.
- Prepare and write reports in accordance with the child's needs and organisational requirements.
- Ensure professional standards in line with individual and team performance plans.
Requirements:
- Genuine commitment to the welfare of children.
- Previous experience of working with children and young people is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work long shifts and sleep ins.
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People Workforce or working towards it - desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience.
- Full UK driving license and own car are a must.
- Right to Work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
