Purpose of the Role

The Team Leader will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our services, maintaining high standards of support delivery, practice, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Service Manager in the operational delivery of a safe and effective service, covering the service in their absence.
  2. Exercise line management responsibility for support workers, promoting their development and well-being.
  3. Lead by example, fostering best practice within the service and mentoring new support staff.
  4. Ensure the rota is consistently covered, taking a share of on-call responsibilities when required.
  5. Monitor and maintain awareness of staff vacancies within the service.
  6. Establish strong relationships with social workers, community teams, and families, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  7. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, upholding the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
  8. Protect the confidentiality of service users and the organization, acting promptly to safeguard individuals from neglect and abuse.
  9. Conduct regular spot checks, quality assurance, and audits to maintain excellence in service delivery.
  10. Participate in meetings as required, contributing to the development and implementation of service improvements.
  11. Perform additional tasks as reasonably directed by Management, supporting the Service Manager in maintaining an exceptional quality service.
  12. Serve as a point of contact for support workers and service users, ensuring their needs are met and concerns addressed.
  13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to CQC requirements and ensuring compliance.
  14. Ensure all financial, health and safety checks, and daily records are completed and up-to-date.
  15. Protect personal and business information, upholding data protection and privacy legislation.
  16. Maintain and develop effective communication practices within the team.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Undertake duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature, as determined by the Management team in consultation with the post holder.
  2. Participate in training and development opportunities, including obtaining relevant qualifications, such as an NVQ.
  3. Carry a photo ID card while on duty, maintaining a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene.

Salary: £12 per hour

Job Type: Full-time
