Position Overview

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, contributing to the growth and success of our projects. This position is ideal for those who wish to be recognized for their expertise and make a significant impact within a dynamic team.

Currently, the firm generates approximately 80% of its revenue from brickwork and 20% from extensions, boasting an annual turnover of around £6M and a strategic business model that fosters growth.

Role Responsibilities

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will be tasked with overseeing and managing all facets of quantity surveying, which encompasses:
  • Procurement
  • Cost control
  • Commercial management

You will engage with clients and contractors, providing expert advice on contractual matters to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within financial parameters. The role will include a hybrid work model, allowing for one day of remote work each week, complemented by office and site visits.

Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Extensive experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector, including contract negotiation, tendering, variations, and procurement
  • A strong grasp of cost control methodologies and commercial acumen
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, capable of liaising effectively at all organizational levels
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities, fostering strong relationships with clients and contractors
  • The capability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience in measuring works on-site
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A solid understanding of financial and mathematical reporting
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant construction discipline
  • Experience in delivering comprehensive quantity surveying services on large-scale projects
  • Proficiency in MS Excel

Compensation Package
