About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health Liaison team at Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide senior medical advice, support, consultancy, and clinical leadership to our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior clinical leadership to the MHLT, reviewing complex patients in the medical/surgical wards and offering supervision and advice to non-medical colleagues and Core/Advanced Trainees.
  • Act as Responsible Clinician for GRH/CGH inpatients who are detained under the MHA to the general hospitals.
  • Attend Mental Health Assessments for general hospital inpatients during normal working hours alongside colleagues.
  • Run a Medically Unexplained Symptoms Clinic once per week.
  • Take a lead for psychiatric assessment and management of all age patients with disordered eating admitted to the acute Trust.
