Our Balfour Beatty Highways division presents an outstanding opportunity for an Engineering Manager to oversee the A57 Link Road Scheme with a flexible working arrangement. The role will involve site-based responsibilities during the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Delivering engineering and design management, providing robust leadership, and overseeing a multi-disciplinary team at the project level to ensure comprehensive design integration across all disciplines.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with both internal and external teams to promote efficient project execution.
  • Supporting the overarching engineering strategy for the organization and our clients.
  • Collaborating with Supply Chain partners, Clients, Designers, and Delivery Partners to enhance knowledge sharing and achieve efficiencies aligned with National Highways objectives.
  • Engaging engineering team specialists to offer on-site training for new recruits and site engineers.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • A degree or HND qualification in Civil Engineering
  • A valid UK Driving license
  • CSCS/SMSTS certification
  • Experience in Civil Engineering/Highways projects
  • A proven track record in team management and leadership
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage a team of over 20 staff
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with ICE or CIHT
