Our client, a leading company in the industry, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their critical engineering maintenance team in Northampton. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of automation assets through effective maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance, to ensure the optimal performance of automation equipment.
  2. Identify the root cause of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions to meet operational processing requirements.
  3. Monitor equipment performance and improve automation outputs in collaboration with operational stakeholders.
  4. Provide effective and efficient support to the Engineering Manager and Maintenance Team Leads.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum ONC Electrical Engineering or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and experience in maintaining automation equipment, ideally Programme Logic Controllers (PLC).
  3. Ability to communicate complex issues effectively and work in a team environment.

Working Hours:

  1. 12 hour shifts, including two weeks earlies (7:00am - 7:00pm) and two weeks nights (7:00pm - 7:00am), with rest days.
  2. Voluntary flexibility to meet 24/7 operational needs, including occasional shift pattern flexibility and overtime coverage.

Benefits:

  1. Competitive salary of £51,051 per annum, with a night shift allowance of £2,500 per annum.
  2. Weekend supplement for Saturday (£51 per attendance) and Sunday (£102 per attendance) shift attendance.
  3. Defined contribution pension scheme, with 22.5 days (15 shifts) annual leave, plus bank holidays.
  4. Free parking.
  5. Eligibility for a welcome bonus (TBC).

This role would suit someone with experience in a similar job, such as Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Mechanical & Electrical Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer.
