Job Title: Fabrication Engineer Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fabrication Engineer Apprentice to join our team at Warburtons, the UK's No. 1 Bakery Brand. As a Fabrication Engineer Apprentice, you will play a key role in the maintenance and repair of our bakery equipment, ensuring that our production lines run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bakery equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct planned and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Identify and rectify faults through inputs and outputs, reading and acting on data, and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team to develop and implement solutions to improve plant reliability and efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to increase plant efficiency, reduce downtime, and save energy and associated costs.
Requirements:
  • Electrically biased Multi Skilled Engineer preferred.
  • Understanding of PLC (ideally Allen Bradley) and control systems with the ability to fault find.
  • Excellent route cause analysis skills.
  • Engineering Qualification such as Apprenticeship, HNC, BTECH or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience of maintenance preferably in a manufacturing environment.
