About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Biffa plc. in a key role that will drive financial performance and provide strategic insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Participate in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and feedback to finance and non-finance personnel.
    • Work closely with the FP&A Manager to present and explain monthly results, and provide ad-hoc support as required.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Support in preparing the full year budget, quarterly reforecasts, and 5-year plan for I&C Collections.
    • Oversee consolidation of budgets, forecasts, and 5-year plans for the division, ensuring accurate and fully explained data.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Manage one to two direct reports and support their development.
    • Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Identify and drive process improvements and efficiencies in the day-to-day role.
  • Commercial Decision Making
    • Provide financial data and insight to support commercial decision making.
    • Provide end-of-year audit support, including full and adequate explanations to auditors.
  • Capex Reporting and Analysis
    • Oversee Capex reporting and analysis, including review and feedback of investments appraisal and capital employment performance.
Requirements
  • Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Proven track record of building excellent working relationships with senior leaders of a large-sized business.
  • Strong system skills, including advanced Excel and Power BI.
  • Management accounting experience gained in the service, logistics, or waste industries an advantage.
