Job Description

Interim Group Head of Health and Safety

Sanderson Recruitment Plc is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Professional to join our client, a leading FTSE 100 company, as an interim Group Head of Health and Safety. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the Group's Health and Safety policy and standards, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on Health and Safety procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement Health and Safety strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present Health and Safety reports to the Executive Board.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Health and Safety leadership role, preferably in a Bluechip or FTSE 100 organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Industry-recognized qualifications or chartered membership, such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
