Senior Manager - Contract Operations

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our Contract Operations team at Great Bear. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for delivering and developing customer contracts, ensuring strategies and business plans are in place to achieve targets and drive business performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all day-to-day operational requirements consistently meet customer expectations
  • Exceed customer key performance measures, holding regular customer reviews and managing and developing client relationships
  • Responsible for managing and developing the existing management teams and employee relations
  • Develop and implement new initiatives and projects with the customer
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to deliver best-in-class operations
  • Prepare customer annual budgets and work within those financial boundaries while delivering improved financial performance
  • Assume responsibility for managing Health & Safety, Personnel issues, and Facilities across all sites

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and have a proven track record within the 3rd Party warehousing and logistics sector
  • A demonstrable track record in managing high-volume, service-driven warehouse operations for FMCG customers
  • Track record of working closely with customers and able to illustrate examples of how they have improved relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to converse at all levels, shop floor, senior management, and customer
  • Should be a successful leader of teams, have positive personal qualities and attributes
  • Must possess enthusiasm, drive, and commitment, a creative thinker, and the ability to work outside the box at times, required
  • Experience of Open and Closed book contracts, good numerical and commercial skills are essential
