Lead Structural Engineer

Penguin Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Lead Structural Engineer to join a thriving Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy in Nottinghamshire.

In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in overseeing one of the consultancy's most active civil and structural teams. This position offers the chance to contribute to the expansion of their division, engaging in projects related to industrial and manufacturing facilities. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire project lifecycle, from land acquisition through to planning, tendering, and detailed design during the construction phase.

Key Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A relevant first-class degree, such as an MEng in Structural Engineering.
  • Associate memberships (ICE or IStructE) or chartered status, or be nearing Chartered status.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Experience in designing with various materials and conducting analysis and design for diverse building forms.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary civil and structural engineering team, ideally demonstrating competence in both areas. Your role will involve supporting an Associate Engineer or Director, showcasing your expertise, and providing technical guidance.

Project Management:
You will be responsible for managing projects of varying scales, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
