Global Specialist Support Engineer (Single Pass)

Job Objective: To deliver exceptional remote and on-site assistance for Agfa's Single Pass Product line.

Location: United Kingdom or EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to clients and Field Service teams, both remotely and on-site, ensuring timely resolution of issues or proper escalation in accordance with established processes.
  • Collaborate with the High-End Specialist Support Manager to tackle complex technical challenges across the AGFA High-End product spectrum.
  • Engage with the Technical Support Team and R+D Team to develop process enhancements and technical documentation.
  • Support the Field Service Team during the implementation of upgrades and conversions.
  • Assist distributors, service agents, and customers across various regions as directed by management.
  • Propose service improvement recommendations to management aimed at achieving cost efficiencies and enhancing the overall performance of the product and Service Department.
  • Deliver remote and on-site mentoring to customers and Field Service Engineers.
  • Facilitate remote and on-site support for installations and customized solutions as required by the business.
  • Assist the High-End Specialist Support Manager in maintaining effective case management processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficient understanding of Control Systems.
  • Prior experience in providing field service or technical support for mechanical/electro products.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to quickly learn and apply new technologies and procedures (both hardware and software).
  • Dedication to delivering exceptional service, demonstrating personal initiative, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
