Job Title: Enterprise Architect

Role Purpose

To support the definition, articulation, and governance of the end-to-end business operations application architecture across local markets and global business functions supporting our operations globally. The focus of this role within the technology strategy and architecture team will be to maintain the architectural capability framework, define clear boundaries with other technology domains, and provide architectural guidance to the group functions and local markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating target state and interim state architectures and maintaining reference architecture models.
  • Defining and maintaining IT roadmaps for the group functions.
  • Creating value-driven capability roadmaps.
  • Reviewing, aligning, and governing local market and global business function solutions.
  • Shaping new demand, aligning it to our target architecture, and managing long-term roadmaps and solution catalogs.
  • Preparing architectural guidance to group functions and local markets, as well as project teams.
  • Ensuring compliance of solution architectural design to the VF enterprise architecture guidelines and principles.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in the creation/maintenance of overall enterprise architecture deliverables, including strategy and reference architectures, coordinating input from diverse architecture stakeholders.
  • Participate in the creation, ownership, and maintenance of IT architecture and strategy, working with local market architecture leads to align local strategy, architecture, and roadmap to the overall IT architecture and strategy, enterprise data model, and IT roadmap.
  • Work with local markets and group technology teams to roll out digital organizations, building inner-source communities, co-creating architecture blueprints, supporting the rollout and optimization of DevOps tooling and Agile methods and organization.
  • Participate in the design and execution of architectural governance across relevant stakeholders and participating Vodafone organizations.
  • Produce, support, and guide the delivery of target, transitional, and solution architectures for business and IT transformation deliveries through appropriate architectural artifacts, deliverables, and communications.

Who You Are

  • Capable of articulating and defining complex architectures in a simple way to stakeholders, underpinned by a structured analytical approach and high-quality architectural artifacts and deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken), able to gain influence at senior levels across Vodafone local markets, partners, and affiliates, suppliers, putting across complex ideas in a simple way. Specific experience and demonstrable capability around the effective presentation of architecture concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Industry experience in telecommunications and rolling out solutions in a large enterprise scale, with preferable experience in cloud engineering and API-driven architectures. Knowledge of SAP will also be valued.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering on projects that span multi-disciplinary areas, preferably in a large telecommunications and/or digital organization with enterprise architecture, business, and IT environments.
  • Sound overall knowledge of applications, integration, and data architecture methodologies and industry best practices, with a special focus on cloud solutions.
