Job Title: Hydraulic Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Systems Engineer to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. As a Hydraulic Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out engineering work at our service centre, on-site, and at customer premises, as requested by our line management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out engineering work at the service centre, on-site, and at customer premises, as requested by the line management.
  • Ensure that all work designated is completed to specification, in accordance with the Company's procedures and quality standards.
  • Ensure that all hydraulic equipment, system or component has been examined, repaired or serviced and properly tested in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, and approved by a nominated person at commissioning stage or prior to despatch.
  • Ensure that all installations included rigid or flexible pipework are completed in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations.
  • Make every effort to ensure work is completed on-time and within budget, identifying additional work not included in the original estimate and reporting information to Engineering Manager.
  • Ensuring time sheets are completed
  • Actively looking for training and development opportunities
  • Ensure that the relevant Risk Assessments are completed and actioned
  • Ensure timely completion of stock requisitions for all components removed from stock
  • Off-site commissioning, service & repair work
  • Ensure the safe-keeping, regular maintenance, and professional appearance of Company vehicles, tools and equipment
  • Adhere to Company Health & Safety policy

Requirements:

  • Ideally hydraulics background, however strong mechanical background within marine/plant/agriculture machinery maintenance also considered
  • BFPA level 1 & 2 certificate in mobile / industrial hydraulics or a recognised time served apprenticeship or proven experience.
  • A basic understanding of electrics/electronics would be of benefit, but not essential
  • Full clean driving licence

Remuneration:

  • Salary £28,000 - £36,000 DOE
  • Health insurance
  • Hours Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Friday 08:00 - 16:00
  • Overtime available. Paid at 1.5x. Sunday 2x
