Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EGCS Superintendent to join our Maritime team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our CUK Fleet in the areas of Advanced Air Quality Systems (AAQS) and Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (EGCS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the CUK Fleet in the areas of AAQS and EGCS, including gas and water monitoring systems, and other emissions abatement technologies.
  • Work closely with ships teams, regulatory bodies, and suppliers to ensure that operational risks are identified and managed effectively, and equipment and vessel availability is maintained to a high level.
  • Optimize the performance of all installed EGCS systems across the CUK Fleet, ensuring that equipment and ships material condition is kept to the highest standards with safety as a top priority.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver complex technical projects covering AAQS and emissions abatement technology, both in service and during docking periods.
  • Manage internal and external resources to ensure tasks are delivered on time and budget, while adhering to Carnival UK core values and culture essentials.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in a suitable Technical/Maritime discipline (Naval Architecture, Engineering, or Electrical Engineering).
  • In-depth knowledge of SOLAS, Class Rules, and applicable statutory legislation.
  • Sea-going experience in a cruise industry technical environment.
  • Experience in management and operation of a wide and diverse range of marine maintenance aspects.
