Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our vibrant team within the SEN Hub at a primary school. This role is pivotal in providing tailored educational experiences for children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging, individualized lesson plans that address the unique requirements of students in the SEN Hub.
  • Utilize effective teaching methodologies to enhance the learning journey of children with various special educational needs, including ASD and ADHD.
  • Collaborate with the SENCo to develop and assess Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring that all educational targets are met and progress is tracked.
  • Work in partnership with mainstream educators to foster an inclusive educational environment throughout the school.
  • Create a nurturing atmosphere that supports the emotional, social, and academic growth of all students in the SEN Hub.
  • Engage with parents, guardians, and external specialists to ensure a holistic approach to each child's learning experience.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in special education, participating in continuous professional development.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience in an SEN setting, particularly within primary education, is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and experience in creating and managing IEPs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • A compassionate, patient, and flexible teaching style, with a genuine commitment to supporting children with special educational needs.
  • A dedication to creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
