An exceptional opportunity has emerged within the esteemed Employment and Labor division of a leading law firm for a senior associate to enhance their team in London.

This prestigious law firm operates in over 30 jurisdictions globally, employing a workforce of more than 1,200 legal professionals. With extensive international reach, the firm provides clients with one of the most prominent practices in M&A, real estate, financial services, litigation, and corporate risk.

The ideal candidate will be someone eager to advance their career and establish themselves as a key liaison between clients and the legal team. You will serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring accurate communication of instructions and addressing any inquiries or concerns. A background in managing high-stakes litigation, offering practical and commercial legal counsel, conducting investigations, and advising financial services clients, along with a solid understanding of the regulatory framework governing this sector, is highly advantageous for this position.

In your primary responsibilities, you will engage with a diverse array of employment law issues, particularly in litigation (with a focus on high-value claims such as whistleblowing detriment/dismissal and discrimination claims), general advisory services on employment law, document preparation, and corporate and real estate transactions, with a significant emphasis on litigation. The team addresses matters including whistleblowing, discrimination, restrictive covenants, disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations, senior executive departures, redundancies, and compensation across various sectors, especially within financial services. Additionally, the team manages all employment-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and team transitions.

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and a proven history of handling UK employment law cases, acquired from a respected City or international law firm.
