About the Role

The City Centre Strategy team is seeking a skilled surveying and professional property advisor to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will lead and support essential actions within the City Centre Regeneration Group workplan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation of the City Centre Strategy and its associated projects and sub-projects.
  • Support the Development Team and the delivery of the Repurposing Action Plan with surveying/commercial expertise.
  • Efficiently allocate and manage resources to meet strategic objectives.
  • Apply specialized knowledge in surveying and property development to support the objectives of the Development Team.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to stakeholders directly or indirectly involved in the City Centre Strategy.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to management and committees, offering updates and progress reports, and seeking approval for City Centre Strategy projects and initiatives.
  • Implement formal project management procedures to ensure rigorous oversight of City Centre Strategy projects, adhering to best practices including risk management, dependencies, cost analysis, benefits assessment, and outcome evaluation.
  • Develop networks within and outwith the Council to facilitate joint working and the maximisation of strategic outcomes, and represent the Council in external forums and at events.

This post is temporary for a period up to 3 years from date of appointment.
