EmpowerEd - Tutor for Children with Special Educational Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tutor to join our team at EmpowerEd, working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in South London and Surrey.

About the Role:

As a Tutor with EmpowerEd, you will be working closely with our team to provide high-quality support to students with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, SPD, Speech and Language difficulties, and mental and emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored support to students with SEN, promoting their engagement and integration with education.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Contribute to the development of our team's expertise and knowledge in SEN support.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people with SEN, either in a school setting, college setting, or support and care setting.
  • A good understanding and commitment to Safeguarding.
  • A UK Recognised Teaching Qualification, such as PGCE or equivalent, or relevant teaching/professional experience.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.
