Tutor - SEND at EmpowerEd

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tutor to join our team at EmpowerEd, working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality tutoring sessions to students with SEND, promoting their engagement and integration with education.
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement individualized learning plans, tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support network for each student.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND, either in a school setting, college setting, or support and care setting.
  • A good understanding and commitment to Safeguarding.
  • A UK Recognised Teaching Qualification, such as PGCE or equivalent, or relevant teaching/professional experience.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.
