Category Management Lead

Cedar is currently supporting a Public Sector client who are seeking a Senior Category Manager for their ICT & Digital category. This is a permanent position that will be home-based with the expectation to be on-site one day per month (where required). The salary on offer for this role ranges from £40,000 to £50,000 and also includes a Car Allowance (£5,400 per annum) plus Additional Benefits.

The successful applicant will report to the Senior Category Manager and will support requirements within the ICT & Digital team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and contract managing delegated Framework Agreements within the ICT & Digital marketplace. You'll support both strategic and operational levels and develop specific contract management and implementation programmes/strategies, and will lead the delivery of a number of projects within key markets. The successful candidate will also manage one Category Manager and one Buyer.

Candidates applying must have:

  • CIPS qualified or working towards (the organisation will support you with obtaining/furthering CIPS where required)
  • Experience in a similar position in the UK Public Sector is required
  • Background/understanding working within ICT & Digital category is required
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
